Wireless service providers now have to do two public Emergency Alert tests every year: CRTC

Wireless carriers will now take to distribute "a second visible wireless Emergency Alarm every year," co-ordinate to an application that the CRTC approved.

The application from senior officials responsible for emergency management requested to alter the public alerting exam schedule "to include at least 1 and up to ii, almanac visible public tests," and to require "wireless service providers to participate in a 2d annual visible public test if an alerting authority elects to execute such a test during the month of November."
